SMACNA member J. B. Henderson Construction, of Albuquerque, N.M., was named a first place winner in the 2003 Construction Users Roundtable (CURT) Safety Awards.

Award applications for seven SMACNA firms were entered into the competition by the SMACNA Safety and Health Department.

The CURT Safety Awards Program recognizes individual contractor firms throughout the nation for their efforts in implementing successful safety and health programs, while promoting the relationship between contractors and industry trade associations.

Representing major corporations that are among the largest consumers in the construction industry, CURT seeks to promote broader owner representation and increased owner input on construction industry issues.
