Lee Woodruff
Author and TV reporter Lee Woodruff will speak on her family’s poignant journey of recovery at the spouse luncheon during SMACNA’s 67th Annual Convention, which takes place in Phoenix, Ariz., Oct. 10-13, 2010.

Ms. Woodruff is co-author of the New York Times best-selling book “In an Instant” and a contributor to ABC’s “Good Morning America.” The book explains how her husband, ABC’s then newly appointed co-anchor Bob Woodruff, was hit by a roadside bomb while covering the war in Iraq and how their lives instantly changed. Woodruff will speak with grace and humor about her own family’s experience and their approach to the crisis that befell them, one that resulted in healing and strengthening of her whole family.

Ultrasonic Rock Orchestra
The night’s dinner entertainment will feature the rock ‘n’ roll band Ultrasonic Rock Orchestra – a group of 14 talented singers and six musicians – for an evening of 1970s classic rock. The night of “rock opera” will feature such jewels of classic rock as the Who’s “Won’t Get Fooled Again,” the Beatles’ “Abbey Road,” and many more. The Boston Globe noted of the group, “The URO brings off even the most intricate of rock pieces with effortless ease, lighthearted humor, and an audacious display of vocal prowess.”
