SMACNA's Labor Seminar is a must attend for all members of management negotiating committees. The 2003 seminar will be held March 3 and 4 at the Scottsdale Plaza Resort, Scottsdale, Ariz. Providing practical, hands-on information to adequately prepare for negotiations and bargain more effectively is the focus.
Learn legal do’s and don’ts’ from SMACNA's legal counsel, Steve Burton. Other modules will address such timely topics as negotiating and administering effective drug testing programs, legal updates, containing health and welfare costs, and funding considerations for labor-management committees. Industry bargaining trends and grievance activity will be examined. Raise your labor relations questions at the rap session and use the opportunity to network with other industry bargainers.
The Labor Seminar is now held every two years. Given that schedule, those who bargain in either 2003 or 2004 should plan to attend this important training session. The jointly-sponsored SMACNA/SMWIA Labor Management Partnership Conference will be held in alternate years. For more information or a registration form, contact Jenny Brotemarkle at (703) 995-4032 or email@example.com.
