 | | Detail view of the grain elevator. | Following an explosion in 1998 during which a truck-size hole was blown in each silo, Debruce Grain Elevator contracted Dean E. Norris Inc. of Wichita, Kan. to fabricate the dust collection duct for the elevator. The original grain elevator exploded due to an excessive build up of grain dust in the dust collector.

Completed in January 2000, this $2.3 million project required Hausman Metal Works to fabricate and install the components of an industrial ventilation system. Although the existing system operated within EPA standards, the customer wanted to install a state-of-the-art system that would continue to meet EPA standards soon to be imposed.
