Bid Specs Task Force To Provide Complete Divison 23 Education Package

SMACNA’s Bid Specification task force is updating SMACNA’s bid specifications document to develop a bid scope for use with general contractors and owners. The new document will be based on the new Construction Specifications Institute MasterFormat Division 23-HVAC and include other relevant HVAC system items not recognized in that division.

SMACNA Looks To Address The Early Start-Up Issue In 2005

You know the line, “Come on, be a good guy start up the HVAC system now so our people can be comfortable and work more efficiently. It’s for the good of the entire construction project. Everybody’s depending on you.” Today, the issue also goes beyond comfort. Owners are requesting to utilize the HVAC systems for work-in-progress, such as curing floors or laminating countertops.
