From Cement To Cabinetry – Industrial Contractor’s Expertise And Versatility Show

Gordon Metal Fabrication Inc., of Tampa, recently fabricated and installed dust collection systems for two very different industries.

For the Merrilat Corporation in Ocala, Fla., they fabricated and installed blower pipe exhaust ducting for a dust collection system using 16, 14 and 12 gauge galvanized steel and steel angle rings. The system was designed to remove wood dust from the manufacturer’s factory.

Industrial Recruitment Package Available To JATCs

The International Training Institute has produced an industrial welding recruitment package to assist local JATCs in their recruiting efforts.

The materials include local market 30-second radio and television commercials, an informational brochure, and a two-minute DVD orientation that provides additional information for prospective apprentices.

Welding: Hot Topic For 2008 Industrial Forum

The 2008 Industrial Contractors Forum slated during SMACNA’s 65th annual convention in Maui, Hawaii will include a presentation on welding issues followed by a panel discussion.
