Anirban Basu is Chairman and CEO of Sage, an economic and policy consulting firm in Baltimore, Maryland. He founded the firm in 2004 and is now one of the most recognized economists. Anirban also serves as chief economist to the Associated Builders and Contractors and as chief economic advisor to the Construction Financial Management Association.
He has authored several high-profile economic development strategies on behalf of government agencies and non-profit organizations, including Baltimore City and Baltimore County. He currently lectures at Johns Hopkins University on global strategy. Anirban earned his B.S. in Foreign Service at Georgetown University and his Master’s in Public Policy from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. He earned his Master’s in Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park.
