SMACNA’s New Horizons Foundation has issued a new project study, Pandemics and Productivity: Quantifying the Impact, that addresses the productivity impact COVID-19 has had across the sheet metal, HVAC and mechanical industry.
This webcast breaks down the report in easy-to-understand pieces and explains how contractors can use the findings to:
Quantifying the impacts for the purpose of seeking equitable compensation for lost productivity
Adequately price upcoming work that will take place under pandemic-driven work rules and conditions
Properly formulate financial projections that take into account stress on cash flow due to both decreases in productivity and the associated increases in overhead costs
The webcast also introduced a new change order calculator tool to assist members in determining the impact amounts.
