SMACNA’s Women in Construction Leadership Council presents the 2020 Women in Construction Leadership Summit Meeting at the Milwaukee Marriott Downtown Hotel in Milwaukee, WI.
The meeting begins Thursday morning with breakfast and networking. Thursday evening includes an optional dine around. A tour of Milwaukee Tool’s headquarters is scheduled for Friday morning.

8:30 a.m. - Session 1: Redefining Women's Liberation - Calling Women UP
This session will frame the problem women often face in leadership and provide solutions to allow us to be healthy and empowered. Too often, we call ourselves out, when we need to call ourselves up to a higher, healthier way of thinking.
9:45 a.m. - Session 2: Becoming a 100X Leader
Healthy leaders know how to add value. Unhealthy leaders subtract or even, at times, divide. The best leaders know how to multiply. This session will explore what we can to do as leaders to get healthy ourselves (i.e. 100% healthy) so we can multiply (i.e. X) that into our team, organizations, families and communities. It’s all about knowing yourself to lead yourself, to lead others.
11:00 a.m. - Quad Group Discussion
In this session, groups will use a self-directed guided discussion question and tool to apply their learning in concrete, practical ways. Participants will identify their greatest “a-ha” and determine how they want to respond in a new way. They will discover their learning opportunity, design an action plan and determine how they want to stay accountable to their own development.
11:30 a.m. - Lunch
12:30 p.m. - Session 3: Discovering Your Leadership Voice
Everyone has a voice, but not everyone is always heard. This interactive session will help participants learn their foundational leadership voice, their strengthens and challenges, and what each voice champions on a team. Participants will also learn how to communicate better with others by learning their defaults.
3:00 p.m. - Quad Group Discussion
Participants will use the CORE Process tool and a guided question to name their most significant a-ha and how they want to apply what they’ve learned.
3:20 p.m. - Take Aways and Leave Behinds
Participants will name one thing they are taking from today that resonates, and one behavior or tendency they want to leave behind.
3:30 p.m. - Adjournment

On Friday morning, participants are invited for a tour of Milwaukee Tool's Headquarters.
