Conducting a Local Joint Adjustment Board (LJAB) hearing can be procedurally and strategically challenging. SMACNA wants to ensure that chapters and LJAB contractor panelists have the information and resources necessary to meet that challenge. SMACNA is offering a new free LJAB training seminar on December 5, 2017. This ½-day training will directly follow the end of the December Council meeting in Tucson, Arizona.
This training is free and will show you how to:
- Conduct a proper LJAB hearing;
- Handle common procedural objections;
- Create a good record in cases of deadlock; and
- Maintain arbitration immunity.
You’ll also learn how to prepare for complex legal issues that often accompany grievances. Plus, you will leave knowing how to draft binding decisions.
The training is open to all chapter executives and LJAB contractor panelists. Register for the training along with the December Council meeting. Those not attending the Council meeting, may still register for the LJAB training by contacting Heather Frank, firstname.lastname@example.org, (703) 995-4045.
For additional questions about the training, please contact Joye Blanscett, email@example.com.
