U.S. Engineering Company, founded in 1893, evolved from a metalworking shop in Cologne, Germany, to one of the most advanced and successful mechanical contracting firms in the U.S. The firm is celebrating its 125th anniversary.
CEO Tyler Nottberg notes that longevity does constitute greatness and that U.S. Engineering Company, with offices in Kansas City, Mo., and Denver, Colorado, is one of oldest firms in the Midwest.
“It’s tough to argue that mediocrity is what got us here,” he says. “We are always thinking about the long-term future, which means getting comfortable with uncertainty. That’s both exciting and daunting.”
U.S. Engineering has offices in and was recently recognized for its milestone achievement by Ingram’s Magazine, a business publication in Missouri and Kansas.
