Teachers, school administrators, counselors, and students will be the focus of a new Mid-Atlantic Chapter program that is using a different approach in attracting qualified craft and non-craft workers into the HVAC and sheet metal industry.
“Nothing is more important to the sustainability of our industry than the development of highly qualified apprentices and journeypersons,” notes Chapter President Dale Trunnell of Metro Mechanical. “Needless to say, we have a lot of work to do.”
The Mid-Atlantic members realize the task of identifying and recruiting workers requires close cooperation and coordination with SMART Local 100 and the local training center.
