OSHA Form 300A Deadline Reminder

Feb 27, 2019

OSHA-filing_600x354Many SMACNA members who are required to electronically submit data for the calendar year 2018 from their Summary of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses report to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) must do so by March 2.

Companies can submit OSHA Form 300A using the Injury Tracking Application on the OSHA website.

OSHA recently published a Final Rule that no longer requires companies with 250 or more employees to electronically submit information from the OSHA Form 300 (Log of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses) and OSHA Form 301 (Injury and Illness Incident Report). They are however required to submit information from the OSHA Form 300A (Summary of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses). The requirement to keep and maintain OSHA Forms 300, 300A, and 301 for five years was not changed by this Final Rule.

Remember, not all firms are covered by this requirement. To review which establishments need to provide their data, click here.
