This year’s National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) will be held next week, November 11-17, 2019. NAW was established by the U.S. Department of Labor to celebrate the impact apprenticeships have in helping Americans learn skills for jobs in growing industries. Hundreds of events and activities have been organized across the country, including open houses, skill competitions, community forums, apprentice graduations, business open houses, high school and college career fairs, apprenticeship signing days, and industry roundtable events.
If your organization is hosting an event, make sure to post it with the hashtag #NAW2019 and tag @SMACNA and @iTisheetmetal so we can share your event.
For more resources on National Apprenticeship Week and details on hosting an event or issuing a proclamation, visit the apprenticeship page on the U.S. Department of Labor’s website.
