When the recent World Series between the Washington Nationals and the Houston Astros shifted over to Washington, D.C., SMAC PAC was able to hold fundraising events for Representatives Anthony Gonzalez (R-OH-16) and Mike Bost (R-IL-12) at Nationals Park.
This marked the first time a World Series game was played in Washington, D.C. since the 1933 season. In attendance were Cleveland SMACNA Chapter CEO John Sindyla and SMACNA Mid Atlantic Chapter CEO Bernie Brill. SMAC PAC also raffled off tickets to its most committed supporters at this year’s convention who also attended games three and four. The discussions in the fundraising suites centered on various issues of importance to the industry along with how those issues will impact the members of SMACNA.
