Construction Safety Week, May 3–7, 2021, is a time when members of our industry demonstrate their continued commitment to building a stronger, safer work environment.
During Safety Week, organizations focus on:
- Thanking workers for supporting safety and recognizing their efforts to remain injury free
- Increasing awareness of the importance of being committed to safety, every day
- Encouraging everyone to share best practices and work together to strengthen the industry’s safety culture
- Conducting on-site safety awareness activities to support education
A safety culture is one that is focused both on safety protocols, PPE, equipment inspections, preventing injuries, but also on the outside stressors and distractions that can interfere with our ability to focus, think clearly, and make sound decisions.
Visit the Construction Safety Week website to learn more how to build a culture of safety, to read some Safety Spotlights, and to access Safety Week planning resources such as job site banners, toolkits, a Planning Playbook, and many other useful materials.
Celebrate safety where you work and demonstrate your continued commitment to building a stronger, safer industry!
