Many of you may have heard that SMACNA is launching a new website later this month. The new site is a complete rebuild that includes new navigation and a significantly improved search capability.
The navigation is externally focused on member needs, offering a new structure that better aligns with contractors’ needs rather than internally focused on SMACNA’s structure. The search functionality is robust and provides users the ability to narrow results in a highly effective way that will save you time (and frustration).
Right now, SMACNA is giving you a glimpse of the homepage and the main navigation for the site. The homepage has been restructured to focus on all visitors, while the search is focused on member needs.
For the previous 30 days, SMACNA has had 22,000 visitors, of which about 4,200 are members and frequent users of the site. The remaining 17,800 are explorers. These explorers represent a diverse range of groups — from code officials to potential clients to consumers wanting to learn about HVAC and indoor air quality.
Until this redesign, the website focused on members and association offerings only, ignoring the opportunity to promote the sheet metal industry to a majority of visitors each month. Once the website launches, the homepage will present the breadth and depth of our work and associate it with statements surrounding our competitive strengths.
Keep an eye on Member Update for more information as we get closer to the launch.
