SMACNA_FB_2018_250x180SMACNA’s Financial Bootcamp, May 6-9, in Tempe, Ariz., will help SMACNA members fully grasp their company’s financials to make the best possible decisions.

During this in-depth program, attendees will learn financial management techniques using practical methods and case studies that simulate real-world business experiences. 

SMACNA encourages members to bring their company’s financial statements to have the opportunity to evaluate their organization’s financial condition. The program's instructor, John Murdough, CPA, MBA. will provide participants with a one-on-one analysis to help evaluate their firm’s financial condition. 

Mr. Murdough, who teaches at Arizona State University’s Del E. Webb School of Construction, presents an easy-to-understand approach to accounting and financial issues for construction firms.

Attendees will learn how to: 

  • Interpret financial statements for better company performance. 

  • Calculate financial ratios. 

  • Develop cash flow projections.  

  • Understand equipment acquisition and leasing.  

  • Use financial information for strategic and planning.  

This course is designed for owners, future owners, financial and non-financial managers, and those who need the best understanding possible of a firm’s financial situation.
