Angie Simon, SMACNA President-Elect, is the feature in the April 2019 cover story of HVACR Today, “Simon will be first woman SMACNA national president. The story originated from an outreach effort by SMACNA to celebrate Women in Construction week. Once the editors heard Angie’s compelling story along with the important role she will be assuming in October, the piece evolved and moved to the front page.
In addition to showcasing her love of baseball and softball, Simon was successful in sharing many important areas of emphasis for SMACNA including work force development, recruitment and retention, the high quality of our work based on SMACNA standards, energy efficiency, and diversity in the workforce.
