The Department of Defense rolls out its Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) this month. All DOD contractors will need to have the necessary cybersecurity practices in place to protect controlled unclassified information. Contractors must be certified through the third-party provider of their choice at the contractor’s expense. In June 2020, contractors will begin seeing references to CMMC requirements in Requests for Proposals.
