In response to a recent presidential Executive Order, OSHA has issued new guidance on protecting workers from COVID-19.
Protecting Workers: Guidance on Mitigating and Preventing the Spread Of COVID-19 in the Workplace is intended to inform employers and workers in most workplace settings outside of healthcare and help them identify the risks of being exposed to and/or contracting COVID-19 at work. It is also intended to help non-healthcare workers determine appropriate control measures to implement.

The recommendations are advisory in nature, informational in content, and intended to assist employers in providing safe and healthy workplace free from recognized hazards likely to cause death or serious physical harm. This guidance contains recommendations as well as descriptions of mandatory safety and health standards.
