Industrial Forum: Industrial Ventilation System Design

Participants are in for some informative sessions at the convention where they will learn that all industrial ventilation systems are not created equal and that the capital costs for each system can vary from its intended purpose.

Dale PriceIndustrial ventilation expert Dale Price of M and P Air Components Inc. will discuss the critical factors affecting industrial ventilation system design and performance. “We will talk about the relative degree of capital cost and return on investment, along with energy efficiency and issues including static pressure, airflow, blast gates, and velocities,” Price said.

Robert ShearerThe second half of the forum will focus on the automotive industry. Robert Shearer of KBD Technic will share several automotive industry ventilation projects including the evaluation of a VOC emissions control system, an engineering study of an automotive manufacturing plant, and a specification design of an oil mist control system.

The Industrial Forum will include a question and answer discussion segment with members of the SMACNA Industrial Contractors Council Steering Committee.
