Product Show Packs in the Latest Innovations
One of the largest shows in recent memory, 60 exhibiting companies — a 30 percent increase over last year — represented a spectrum of products and services available in the HVAC industry.
SMACNA contractors crowded the aisles to see the newest innovations, software, and industry technologies and to pick up new ideas during the annual Product Show, Tuesday, at SMACNA’s Annual Convention in San Diego.
Attendees valued the variety of vendors and information offered, both at the exhibit booths and in eight new technology sessions that highlighted innovations, case studies, and industry best practices.
In these sessions, attendees learned about self-sufficient air management equipment that required no batteries or maintenance, such as digital diffusers powered by ambient light.
Contractors also discovered how to keep their company drivers safe while on the road by managing speed, attention, fatigue, and emotion during the “Drive S.A.F.E.” session. They also learned about a digital platform for tools that lets users connect their tools with a smart phone to create a custom profile in the tool’s memory and in the cloud to increase productivity.
A third of the exhibitors were new to this year’s show and 20 percent of the participants demonstrated state-of-the art software specific to the industry.
