New Report on Energy Savings in Industrial Companies
According to SEE Action (The State and Local Energy Efficiency Action Network), "Industrial energy efficiency often represents a large and cost-effective resource for policymakers and utilities to pursue, yielding many benefits including improved competitiveness in the US manufacturing sector through lower production costs."
A new report developed by SEE Action examines primary factors that produce successful energy efficiency programs at large industrial companies through case studies of major industrial energy users and it also examines the role that ratepayer-funded programs can play in supporting energy efficiency at such companies.
The report, SAVING ENERGY IN INDUSTRIAL COMPANIES: CASE STUDIES OF ENERGY EFFICIENCY PROGRAMS IN LARGE U.S. INDUSTRIAL CORPORATIONS AND THE ROLE OF RATEPAYER-FUNDED SUPPORT, is available through the SEE Action website.
SEE Action is a state and local effort facilitated by the federal government that helps states, utilities, and other local stakeholders take energy efficiency to scale and achieve all cost-effective energy efficiency by 2020.
