Keith Harris ̶ Legislative Contractor of the Year
Keith Harris, president, B.H.W. Sheet Metal Company in Jonesboro, Georgia, received SMACNA’s most prestigious legislative award for making a lasting impact on construction and legislative leaders across Atlanta and the greater Southeast region. He played a critical role in the advocacy of federal tax initiatives boosting industrial, commercial, and institutional construction development.
Fred Streimer ̶ Distinguished Legislative Service Award
Fred Streimer, chairman of the board of for Streimer Sheet Metal Works, in Portland, Oregon, was recognized for his decades-long career of dedicated legislative and political activism that has made him a vital cornerstone of both his chapter and national SMACNA. He has been a vigilant advocate on multiemployer pension reform, labor-management issues, prevailing wage enforcement, infrastructure, energy efficiency issues, and more.
Kim Best ̶ Chapter Executive Legislative Advocate
Kim Best, executive vice president, Sheet Metal Contractors of Iowa, received the Chapter Executive Legislative Advocate award for her efforts to energize and engage her chapter members in their political and legislative processes. In both 2017 and 2018, she delivered impressive results engaging and inspiring her members on pension reform, energy efficiency, and expanding markets in the commercial, industrial, and public sectors.
