Emphasizing National Safety Month with Your Member Contractors
June is National Safety Month, which makes now the perfect time to emphasize with your member contractors the importance of a well-run safety program at their companies. National Safety Month focuses on reducing the leading causes of injury and death at work, on the road, and in our homes and communities. Themes covered during the month include Hazard Recognition; Slips, Trips and Falls; Fatigue; and Impairment.
SMACNA National encourages all Chapter Executives to review and download the currently available materials from the National Safety Council website and share them directly with their member contractors. Both chapters and member contractors can show their participation and commitment to ongoing safety awareness during National Safety Month by taking the pledge to be #SafeAtWork.
Additional National Safety Month resources, including social media graphics and tip sheets, can be found on the National Safety Council website.
