  • GHS - Hazcom 2012 Update
    In 2012, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) adopted HazCom 2012—a revised Hazard Communication Standard aligned with the United Nations’ Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS). The HazCom revisions are intended to more closely align the production, shipping, and handling of chemicals with international standards and regulations.

Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.

  • OSHA Rescinds Residential Fall Protection Guidance
    According to a 1995 OSHA policy and directive, contractors in the residential construction sector were able to bypass typical fall protection requirements and use alternative fall protection measures if they determined that “conventional” fall protection measures were infeasible. OSHA issued Instruction STD 3.1 on December 8, 1995.
