Here are some tips to make your clean up efforts easier and more manageable.
Keep information up to date. This may seem link a no-brainer, but in reality, it’s harder to do than you think. Regularly ask members to review and update their information (if your database allows them to enter the information themselves, even better). Ask for both their business and personal contact details, especially email. Be sure to tell member why you’re asking for the information. For example, you may be requesting a home mailing address to send your organizations publications or other materials to during the pandemic when most people are working from home.
Capture social profiles. Social media profiles are another useful data point to collect and keep in your member database.
Offer incentives. Consider giving our prizes or offering incentives for members who update their information on a regular basis. A free event registration or a discount on annual convention pricing can go a long way in motivating behavior. Drawings for gift cards and other freebies are options as well.
