2023 TAUC Annual Labor Craft Survey now taking responses

Data collected will assist stakeholders in building an accurate picture of the construction and maintenance labor pool.

Since 2015, the Union Labor Supply Survey, conducted by The Association of Union Constructors (TAUC) in conjunction with the Construction Labor Research Council (CLRC), has been one of the primary tools at our industry’s disposal for understanding developing trends. This survey is the only union-specific study that focuses on construction and maintenance. The data cultivated through this exercise allows industry leaders to understand better the state of the labor supply throughout the United States.

Every year, SMACNA reports the survey’s findings to our membership. Specifically, we discuss how trends are evolving on a year-to-year basis while comparing the state of the sheet metal industry to other MEP trades. SMACNA also details the labor supply differences across the country, paying particular attention to how specific regions differ. By having SMACNA member contractors participate in the survey, we can work collaboratively with TAUC to better grasp the state of the industry and provide our members with an accurate forecast of labor forces in the marketplace. Please take a moment to participate in the 2023 TAUC Annual Labor Craft Survey.
