Accelerate Your Impact Course Schedule Now Available

SMACNA launches new education program to strengthen chapters enabling them to serve contractors better, reduce labor disputes, promote the industry, and assist peers through available resources.

Strategic review of the industry has shown that strong chapter executive who have access to needed resources, strengthens the industry and benefits their contractor members.

“The importance of a strong active Chapter Executive cannot be stated strong enough. They are the Face of the Chapter. When a chapter executive is active and working for the Chapter, the chapter grows, becomes more cohesive, and moves in a positive direction towards the issues of today and positions the chapter to face the future” – Tony Kocurek

In recognition that all professionals need continuing education, SMACNA has developed a new education program, Accelerate Your Impact, designed specifically for Chapter Executives. The 2023-24 Accelerate Your Impact education schedule is now available for review. This curriculum is focused on providing attendees with the tools and resources they need to run their SMACNA chapter and promote their members' interests. This will be accomplished through coursework that focuses on several areas of importance to SMACNA member contractors, including labor relations, industry promotion, and industry trends.

This instructional program is targeted at SMACNA chapter executives and will consist of 60–90-minute Zoom sessions on these topics in addition to a few in-person events tied to other meetings. The end goal of this program is to build a strong knowledge foundation for Chapter Executives and give them the tools to be proactive advocates on critical issues that could impact individual contractors and the industry as a whole.

Other than any registration fee associated with the meetings themselves that the in-person events are tied into, these educational events are free for Executives.  All Chapter Executives are encouraged to take part in the program. The first course starts May 17, 2023.
