Business Management University Equips Leaders with Needed Tools

Program provided an opportunity to learn more about the challenges facing sheet-metal management and provided attendees with an opportunity to learn from industry experts.

The latest edition of SMACNA’s Business Management University gave managers from throughout our industry an opportunity to learn more about some of the hot-button issues facing the sector and develop skills and strategies to help their businesses thrive. The small-group environment allowed attendees to participate with their peers in a close natural environment conducive to learning.

During the event, held in Tempe, Arizona, attendees could hear from several speakers. Mounir El Asmar, from the engineering faculty of Arizona State University, served as the program moderator and ran a session titled “A Contractor’s Survival Guide.” Former SMACNA National President Angie Simon also talked about her experience with SMACNA and how being a member helped her grow and sustain her business.

FMI’s Rick Reese outlines techniques on maximizing workforce productivity.

Finally, Rick Reese, Senior Consultant with FMI, spoke to the group about maximizing productivity no matter the circumstances.
