Dave Dennis to lead a BE4ALL Learning Journey session on Martin Luther King, Jr.

Original Freedom Rider and Executive Director of the Southern Initiative of the Algebra Project will reflect on the life and legacy of the civil rights icon.

Dave Dennis will be the featured presenter at the upcoming BE4ALL learning journey session focusing on the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dennis is a long-time civil rights advocate, serving as the Executive Director of the Southern Initiative of the Algebra Project. Dennis is also one of the original Freedom Riders. The Freedom Riders were a group of civil rights advocates who rode buses into southern states protesting the non-enforcement of U.S. Supreme Court opinions banning the segregation of public transit. 

This event will seek to give attendees a better understanding of not only the life of Dr. King, but the impact that his legacy has on our society to this very day. Dennis will also use his personal experience during the civil rights struggle to relate to the story of Dr. King and give the audience a better understanding of how this period shaped our country for decades to come.
