The non-partisan Environmental and Energy Study Institute (EESI) hosted a webinar titled “Back to School: Catalyzing Climate Action in K-12 Schools.” The session looked at several environmental challenges confronting educational leaders and how they can adapt to evolving circumstances.
One of the primary focuses of the presentation was the need for improved school HVAC infrastructure. Presenters outlined how educational leaders can leverage improved school HVAC towards several outcomes, including creating financial savings, enhancing student and staff health, and maximizing academic achievement. EESI also looked at several state and federal initiatives, including the recently passed Inflation Reduction Act, that can assist administrators in meeting their goals. In addition to recording the event, EESI has made other materials associated with the presentation available for distribution and review.
