Heavy Metal Summer Experience Featured in Recent PHCP Pros Article

Program founded by SMACNA contractors gives high school students and graduates exposure to a potential career in the HVAC and sheet metal industries.

PHCP Pros has published an article on the upcoming round of Heavy Metal Summer Experience camps. Heavy Metal Summer Experience, which is entering its third year of operation, is a free program that gives underprivileged high school students and recent graduates an opportunity to learn more about a potential career in the skilled trades. Founded by SMACNA members Hermanson andWestern Allied Mechanical, the latest round of Heavy Metal Summer Experience sessions will feature 20 camps spread out over 12 states. This represents a dramatic expansion from the program’s first outing in 2021, which featured two camps.
