SMACNA and BE4ALL are excited to announce the launch of the Safety Sponsorship Program. This program aims to promote contractor engagement in both SMACNA and BE4ALL and to further member knowledge of best practices regarding safety and well-being in the workplace.
At the end of this program, one contractor will receive a sponsorship to attend the National Safety Council’s (NSC) Safety Congress and Expo. This sponsorship will cover all applicable expenses associated with attending the event (not to exceed $5,000). The hope is that attending contractors can learn more about creating and sustaining a diverse and supportive workplace for all employees.
To be eligible, member contractors must demonstrate that they follow one of the three criteria:
- Directly represents an underrepresented group, defined as people of color, LGBTQ+ persons, women, veterans, people with disabilities, and others who identify as a minority, or
- Made an impact in advocating for the interests of underrepresented groups, or
- Improved recruitment and retention of underrepresented groups.
