SMACNA is proud to announce the 2022 Board of Director nominees. Voting is scheduled to take place at the Annual Business Meeting.
Please take a few moments to read more about each of the nominees.
Bernie Antchak is the Business Operations Manager for Northwest Sheet Metal Limited, based out of Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. Bernie entered the sheet metal industry in 1994 as a material man. Bernie then advanced through the industry from apprentice, journeyman, and all the way up to superintendent before founding Northwest Sheet Metal in 2005.
Bernie has been on the Board of Directors for SMACNA British Columbia for 12 years, where he also served as President. Bernie is a graduate of SMACNA’s Business Management University and regularly attends SMACNA’s Annual Convention.
Matt Cramer is the President of Dee Cramer, Inc. located in Holly, Michigan. Matt graduated from The University of Notre Dame with a BBA in Accounting. During his time with SMACNA, Matt was named as SMACNA’s National Contractor of the Year in 2011 and was inducted into SMACNA’s National College of Fellows in October 2014. Matt has also served previously on SMACNA’s Board of Directors and is active in numerous SMACNA committees. He currently sits on SMACNA Detroit’s Board of Trustees.
Matt serves as a trustee for the International Training Institute (ITI), and as a trustee on various SMART Pension funds. He also serves as a board member for the Construction Association of Michigan and is the chair of the Powers Catholic High School Board of Trustees.
Kathy Kerber is currently the President/CEO of KSM Metal Fabrication based out of Troy, OH, serving in this role since 2012. Since entering the industry in 1997 as a management trainee, Kathy has previously served the association in various capacities. These include a previous term on SMACNA’s Board of Directors, and being a member of the Business Management Committee, Legislative/SMAC PAC, and the Architectural Sheet Metal Council Steering Committee.
Locally, she has served her local chapter in various capacities, including the board in various capacities, as a Director, Treasurer, Secretary, Vice President and President. Outside of SMACNA, she is involved in several charities in the Troy area, including the board of the Troy United Way, the Troy 4-H club, and the governing board of the Troy Foundation.
Kenneth Kleeberg currently is the President of Yankee Sheet Metal out of East Hartford, CT. Ken purchased Yankee Sheet Metal in 2005, after over 20 years of involvement with the family company. Since entering the industry in 1985 as an apprentice, he has served in various capacities, including as a union member with Western MA Sheet Metal Local 63, and as a trustee member of Connecticut Sheet Metal Local 40.
Ken currently serves as the President of the Connecticut Sheet Metal and Roofing Association. Ken has also presented at several events on local/regional labor relations issues, including at Partners in Progress.
Matt Sano is the President of Fisher Balancing, located in Williamstown, New Jersey. Matt has over 30 years of experience in the balancing sector and is a National Environmental Balancing Bureau (NEBB) Certified Professional. Matt has been involved on several levels with SMACNA nationally, including service on the Budget and Finance Committee, and has authored several white papers on various technical topics.
Locally, he has served on the board of the Sheet Metal Contractors Association of Philadelphia, in several roles, including Industry Board Chair, Vice President, and President. He also serves as a trustee for the local JATC.
Outside of SMACNA, Matt is a member of the NEBB National Chapter Affairs Committee, and serves as the president for the Philadelphia NEBB Chapter.
