SMACNA Launches Web Portal to Help Educational Leaders with Starting HVAC Projects

New section of website outlines procedures and funding avenues that administrators can use to launch retrofits of HVAC infrastructure.

The federal government is launching initiatives to help local governments, especially schools, improve the Indoor Air Quality in their buildings. However, school administrators may not know where to start. To this end, SMACNA has launched a new section in its industry resources section, How to Get a School IAQ Project Started

This portal contains several items of helpful information for administrators, including how to launch the initial fact-finding process, plan a project and implement work. This section also includes guidance on how districts can secure funding through several initiatives that government actors have launched on multiple levels.

SMACNA believes that with the struggle against COVID-19 taking a more multi-layered approach, it is more important than ever for school leaders to have all the resources at their disposal.
