SMACNA Interview: Carol Duncan

Carol Duncan, SMACNA’s President-Elect and CEO of General Sheet Metal joined Jeff Henriksen at the 2022 SMACNA Annual Convention in Colorado Springs, CO. During their discussion, Carol and Jeff talked about several issues, including workforce development and some of the challenges surrounding both recruitment and retention. Carol went into detail about how General Sheet Metal tackles these issues, and solutions which have resulted in the company being named one of the best places to work for. The conversation also examines the balance between risk management and innovation and also how SMACNA membership has benefited Carol both professionally and personally.
