Robert Atwell

Robert Atwell is the Director of Operations at Ernest D. Menold, Inc. Starting in the sheet metal trade as a Local 19 sheet metal apprentice, he has over 30 years’ experience holding all the positions of Foreman, General foreman, Detailer, Estimator, Project Manager, Project Executive, and now Director of Operations. As Project Manager, Robert spearheaded larger projects with a design assist delivery method in the pharmaceutical sector, all the while helping EDM Inc. scale its operations to support the increase in workload. He has been heavily involved in the company’s transition from hand drawings and paper documentation to BIM modeling and digitization of work processes on the project and business side. Robert is a current member of the SMACNA HVAC Steering Committee and is a previous member of the SMACNA Business Management Committee and Philadelphia SMCA Technical Committee.
