SMACNA develops safety programs, publications, services and videos to assist members in establishing and managing effective safety programs. SMACNA also communicates with OSHA and other federal agencies on issues affecting members and offers briefings on regulatory compliance issues.


SMACNA Model Policies

The purpose of the SMACNA Guide to Safety and Health Policies, Procedures and Model Programs product is to provide contractors in the sheet metal and HVAC industry with a written safety and health program in Microsoft Word® and Powerpoint® format so they are fully editable.

OSHA compliance assistance related to new standards and regulations.


Mental Health & Substance Abuse

Safety Award Program & Statistics

Each year SMACNA conducts a Safety Awards Program to recognize SMACNA members with the lowest injury/illness rates during the prior calendar year. Awards are presented to participating contractors with the lowest injury/illness incidence rate (as computed using the OSHA incident rate formula).
