David Kiely is the Preconstruction Manager for Kleeberg Sheet Metal & Mechanical Services, where he leads the company's preconstruction operations while driving the implementation of technology solutions that enhance estimating, project delivery, and business performance.
Since entering the mechanical construction industry in 1999, David has built more than 27 years of experience in estimating, project management, and preconstruction leadership. He began his career with Tougher Industries, where he worked on projects ranging from small renovations to large, complex commercial and institutional facilities before joining Kleeberg Sheet Metal in 2012. Today, in addition to leading preconstruction efforts, he champions the integration of emerging technologies—including BIM, digital fabrication workflows, ERP systems, data analytics, and artificial intelligence—to improve productivity and decision-making.
David currently serves as Chairman of the SMACNA Labor Estimating Reference Manual Committee, where he has helped lead the committee's efforts over the past three years to maintain and enhance one of the industry's most trusted estimating resources. He is also active within his local SMACNA chapter, having previously served as Chapter President. His industry service includes serving as Chairman of the Joint Apprenticeship Committee and as a Trustee of the industry's annuity fund.
David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from Utica College of Syracuse University and is passionate about helping contractors leverage both proven estimating practices and emerging technologies to improve labor forecasting, productivity, and project outcomes.
