Jason Watson

Jason Watson is the Executive Director of Labor Relations at SMACNA National. He has been with the Association for more than 15 years and has over 20 years of experience in labor relations and government affairs. Jason has successfully and regularly helped SMACNA members resolve challenging labor related issues and disputes.

Prior to joining SMACNA, Jason was an Associate with the Carmen Group, a government affairs consulting firm in Washington, D.C. At the Carmen Group, he put his railroad, transit and transportation expertise to great use for clients, and was also the editor of the firm’s Weekly Washington Letter on Transportation.

Previously, he worked in the Government Affairs Department of the Association of American Railroads and interacted regularly with 13 rail labor unions, including the United Transportation Union (UTU).
