SMACNA has launched a new website, focused on the needs of members and chapter executives while also serving to raise awareness of our industry. The site contains many new features and advantages outlined below.
SMACNA is pleased to announce the launch of our brand-new website!
After months of studies and focus groups — and a lot of hard work and dedication — we are delighted to officially share with you the new smacna.org.
Our goal with this new website is to provide members and chapter executives with a greatly improved user experience while also educating and promoting our brand attributes to a wider audience of explorers and visitors. Chief among the improvements are:
Home Page
Each month, SMACNA’s home page receives tens of thousands of visitors, but only about 20% of those are members. The remaining 80% are new visitors to the website, which we call “explorers.” Explorers have a wide range of interests and represent diverse groups from consumers to code officials to students to government staff.
Because the audience is both broad and new to the site, the home page is SMACNA’s opportunity to raise awareness of our industry, showcasing the industry both visually and through key attribute phrases that enhance our industry’s appeal to key stakeholders.
The top navigation and search function primarily serve our members and chapter executives, getting them to the information they need as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Another useful aspect of the more robust search function is the ability to filter content by industry sectors, enabling members to find the most relevant content focused on their particular sector. To further refine the search, members can choose a specific filter based on relevancy, newest first, type of media and related topic.
Over the next few months the website will improve further as SMACNA works through any quirkiness and enhances the way some information is presented. If you experience any “quirkiness,” or just like what you see, please use this form to let us know.
