Justin Crandol, SMACNA’s Director of Safety, joins former SMACNA Safety Director Mike McCullion and Raffi Elchemmas, Executive Director of Safety, Health and Risk Management for Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA), for an interview in SNIPS. The panel discusses some safety-related developments that will be important for contractors in 2024. These priorities include ongoing engagement in all levels of the regulatory process and being attentive to the heightened focus being placed by regulators on heat-related challenges. During his comments, Justin highlighted OSHA/ANSI Advocacy, including SMACNA efforts to shape the new ANSI A10.50 Heat standard and the participation of an SMACNA safety committee member in the OSHA Small Business Regulatory Enforcement Fairness Act (SBREFA) panel.
