SMACNA’s White Paper on Cannabis Issues Now Available

SMACNA’s Labor Relations department recently issued a white paper to assist contractors and chapters in understanding issues that arise when contractors consider doing business with marijuana-related businesses.   As more states have legalized the use of cannabis in some form, it remains a schedule I controlled substance under federal law.  The paper provides a state-by-state summary of laws concerning cannabis use and delves into the legal issues that contactors need to consider when doing business within the cannabis industry.
