New rule proposed by the Drug Enforcement Administration would lessen the legal complications for legitimate businesses working within the cannabis industry.
SMACNA has provided regulatory comments to the Drug Enforcement Administration’s proposed rule titled Schedules of Controlled Substances: Rescheduling of Marijuana. SMACNA’s comments will support the Proposed Rule because it lessens the legal complications for legitimate businesses – including SMACNA contractors – who perform work for businesses in the cannabis industry.
SMACNA contractors are equipped to provide the HVAC infrastructure and support that is required by the ever expanding legal cannabis industry. While SMACNA supports the rule making process, we also believe that is imperative that there be robust legislative action to address the myrad of challenges currently facing the cannabis sector and the other spaces that seek to support its legal activities.
