Foundation receives a third grant from program designed to promote non-profits active in supporting workforce development in the skilled trades and manufacturing.
The New Horizons Foundation has received additional funding as a Makers Grant recipient courtesy of Stanley Black & Decker’s Global Impact Challenge. Continuing its multi-year commitment, the Global Impact Challenge program will award over $25 million in grant funding to non-profits supporting workforce development efforts in the skilled trades and manufacturing sectors. Applicants were evaluated on many criteria, including the number of individuals served, projected outcomes, long-term impact, and program offerings and depth.
“The New Horizons Foundation is grateful for this continuing support from Stanley Black & Decker’s Global Impact Challenge in advancing best practices in workforce development,” stated Tom Soles, Executive Director of NHF.
