"SMACNA Large Duct Construction & HVAC Duct Systems Inspection" led by SMACNA National's Senior Project Managers Shawn OHara and Geoffrey Parks.

Description: Learn about what's driving larger ductwork in the industry today and how to properly construct and support larger ductwork using the SMACNA HVAC Duct Construction Standards (4th Edition). Get an in-depth review of the latest edition of the SMACNA HVAC Duct Systems Inspection Guide, including significant changes and use of the guide. The 4th edition contains guidelines for the inspection of commercial HVAC duct systems for compliance with SMACNA Standards.

 2. 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM in room W311D

“System Air Leakage and Duct Systems Inspection,” led by William Farrell, Senior Project Manager, SMACNA National.

Description: Updated procedure for testing air leakage in forced air systems. This standard leaps beyond duct leakage testing, providing means and methods for testing the complete duct system with Accessories (Fire Dampers, Access Doors, VAV’s, etc.) and Equipment (Air Handler, Inline Fans, etc.) installed. Inspection of HVAC Duct Systems will also be discussed.
