Supervisors are an essential part of any construction team, and it is imperative to make sure they are familiar with all the skills, systems, and techniques necessary to function at the highest level possible.

Developed for new supervisors and those with several years of experience, SMACNA’s Supervisor Training Academy is led by industry experts. It provides attendees with the information necessary to succeed in a leadership role.

This program will equip participants with the tools and knowledge needed to excel in their supervisory roles. This program is tailored for supervisors, foremen, superintendents, and critical managers.

Speakers include:

  • Kevin Dougherty, corporate trainer, will present effective leadership strategies, motivation, and team building, with a communication session on handling conflict, active listening, and controlling conversations.  
  • Andy Patron, construction consultant, will lead a discussion on emotional intelligence and how it differentiates average leaders from great leaders through social awareness and relationship management.
  • Stephanie McShane, a consultant with Maxim Consulting, will present an interactive exercise with participants, demonstrating how to manage field management obstacles and opportunities and increase productivity.
