SMACPAC Club Ambassador met with nearly a dozen members of Congress in a day packed with bipartisan Hill meetings.
Schimmelphennig, CEO of the HAVE, Inc. firm in suburban Cleveland, was in Washington, DC, to advance SMACNA’s positions on workforce reforms, infrastructure, and the CHIPS Act, as well as educating Hill leaders and top staff about the negative and costly impact of excessive tariffs on industry materials and equipment.
While on Capitol Hill, Rob met with Reps Dave Joyce (R-OH), Andrew Garbarino (R-NY), and SMACNA’s Executive Director of Government and Political Affairs. Schimmelphennig and Kolbe also met Reps. Brendan Boyle (D-PA), Mary Gay Scanlon (D-PA), David Valadao (R-CA), and Jim McGovern (D-MA) and key staff in many Hill and coalition offices.
